Hi, I have wifi in and outside of my house but my new 30x24 metal garage won't allow signal unless I am by the window.
If the garage is getting power from the house, then powerline is another option. Performance does depend on the details of the power circuits, but it is easier than digging trenches or installing outdoor wifi, so you might want to do a risk-buy, and return the powerline kit if it doesn't perform well.
