Netgear 71 router. Is the device password on the label unique to each router?

   Do you mean the one labeled "Network Key (Password)"?  I've never

seen the same one twice.  But why trust me?  Here's a radical, but
occasionally useful concept:

   Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for
"Types of Logins" and "unique".  Further reading might not hurt, either.

   If you're worried about it, then you should be able to change it.

   When you buy parts for your car, do you give the person behind the
counter your license-plate number, or the make+model+year of the car?
