Netgear AC1600 C6250-100NAS slow wifi speed, fast ethernet speed
I have 400Mbps line from xfinity. With ethernet connection to my laptop, I am getting speed around 400Mbps, which is what I expect. However, over wifi (5GHz), I only get around 200Mbps. I do understand that I am not supposed to get 400Mbps over wifi with interference and everything, but I didn't expect to get only about half the speed. Isn't it capable of providing 1300Mbps over 5GHz band? Could there be something wrong with the settings, or the router-modem just gone bad?

Your wifi speed depends on the wif iclient, the receiver, rather than the source, the router. If the technology on your unnamed client can handle only 200 Mbps, that is all you will get.

Only if you have a client that is that fast, and then there is the issue of what that 1300 Mbps means.
It might be worth a bit of background reading.
