Netgear app / R6400v2
My netgear app wil not let me update the latest firmware for my router. Everything else works on the app. I do have an update available. I know I can do it with a computer with an ether cable but hey ...

This is best done with a wired LAN connection but wifi also works. The key is to use a web browser rather then an app.
The manual update is safer because there is less risk that the connection will fall over during the firmware download or the update process. If that happens you can end up with broken firmware, which is a pain to repair.
Thank you for your reply. I am aware of the link you sent me. Although the first suggestion is with the app but that doesn’t work for me on the app as I stated in my previous question and the second option is with a Ethernet cord connected to the router. I was asking if the app itself which has an option to update firmware, why it doesn’t work and if there was any fixes to that procedure itself. Thank you again. Maybe uninstall the app and reinstall?
