Netgear D6200 – WiFi DSL Modem Router setup as Router only no DSL

Hello , 

 

I have D6200 – WiFi DSL Modem Router Model / Version: D6200 with update D6200-V1.1.00.40. this seem to be a DSL modem but my network provider is COX and no DSL here. i was wondering if I can buy Cable Modem then connect this router as use it as that no DSL. 

 

I tried to setup it yesterday but WiFI 2.4 and 5G sections was grayed out for me. i was not able to edit it.  i did try using Web Browser and NETGEAR Genie software 

 

please advise on what I need to do to disable DSL and use this as router only

    for some odd reason new firmware does not work and make the router completely un usable 

    so I put D6200_V1.1.00.05-1.00.05NA First Relase and it is working perfectly
