The mesh extender might help out nicely in areas thats struggling to reach.
sometimes its worth trying both to see how performance and coverage are. Especially if you already have the extender.
I'd take a look on amazon for "netgear renewed".
they've had some pretty good sales on renewed routers.
I've seen the AX5400 for super cheap on there and its a pretty solid performing router.

So my next question, the newer router I mentioned going to the Nighthawk AX2400, says it can do up to about 2000 sq ft. Which does cover my home. But with going through the walls, floors, etc do you think the router would be fine on its own or would the Mesh Extender be alright just to help out?
