The LAN ports on the WNDR3400v3 are 10BASE-T or 100BASE-Tx. That up to 100 Mbps.

So your Internet is now faster than your router. You need one that handles 1000BASE-Tx, 1000 Mbps.

Well, that's too bad. This thing wasnt cheap.
Couple that with how **bleep**ty their phone support is and it looks like I'm buying an ASUS. Should have bought one instead of this hunk.
Thanks Michael.

It is surprising that Netgear was still selling 100BASE-Tx kit that recently. The manual is dated June 2014.
Anyone with a modern PC, in the past decade or so, will have 1000BASE-Tx LAN ports, which raises the questions as to why anyone would buy a 100BASE-Tx router.
You may still be able to use it with a router as an access point. Then again, its wifi capability is also well behind the current norm.
