My WiFi is very intermittent since spectrum did an update! Any suggestions would be helpful?
Turns out my NETGEAR router was bad out of the box after 5 hours on the phone with the techs. Now I have to pay to return it in order to receive a replacement. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever had or could imagine. NETGEAR is not a very good company too deal with.

The normal routine when that happens is to return the device to the people who sold you the thing. That is the law in many countries.
However, your first message suggests that your unknown device worked until "spectrum did an update".
In that case, Netgear may be as confused as I am as to what is happening at our end.
As you didn't answer any of the questions from plemans it is difficult to know what Netgear could have done better.
