Thanks for the response. Sorry, the Orbi is a RBS750. I understand that the speed might be comporomised on the R6020. How do I know if the R6020 is in the AP mode. I'm not really sure what that means, though. Please help me thru my darkness.
Our internet is through fiberoptics and get >200 download and around 100 or usually higher upload. I understand that the R6020 may be a bit slow. At our previous residence we had a whopping 7 download on a good day! Whoa!
Anyway, 100 might be ok. Is it ok to plug into the satellite RBS750?
What could I do to better the speed if I should wish without spending a lot of money.
Would it be better to plug into the main Orbi if I have enough cable for that?

It will not be in AP mode unless you set it up like that.
How do I change my NETGEAR router to AP mode? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
The easiest way to go about that is probably with the R6020 connected to a PC that doesn't have an Internet connection to get in the way.
- Disconnect PC from main router.
- Connect PC to to R6020.
- Put R6020 into AP mode.
- Turn off R6020 and disconnect from PC
- Connect PC to main router
- Plug R6020 into Orbi LAN
- Turn on R6020

Should work just fine.

The easiest option might be to get an Orbi satellite that is compatible with your existing Orbi system. Then you can plug that satellite into the existing satellite and extend the network.

Are any other device that can work in AP mode.
