Why even have the r6220? Its a very basic router without much capability. Its a basic as they come for gigabit.
And you have a pfsense box which is its own routing software. Why not go gateway from isp---->pfsense box?

I would also question where this model is suitable for things like Anywhere Access, which might be useful for something on a "remote site". It might work, but could be pushing things.
