If a standard factory reset fails, there is more severe, recovery reset, that you could try:
- Press reset for 30 seconds
- Keep pressing reset while removing power
- Keep pressing reset for another 30 seconds while apply power
If it works, you may be able to use the usual method to flash the firmware again.
TFTP isn't the easiest operation, so if you are forced to use it try a web search for videos that guide you through the process.
For example:
Different device, but the approach is the same.
The good news is that TFTP has rescued many a dead device.

Hi Kudos,
Thanks for sharing your geek skill, I never knew pressing the reset button longer would generate a different reset trigger. This is useful to know.
I lend assistance from the office IT person, and was informed that the TFTP client programme downloaded from the support website was not working. Instead he use the window prompt command line to 'put' the firmware img onto the router, and now it works fine. Before that one has to enable the TFTP feature in the window environment under the “Program and Features” page of the Control Panel which by default is de-activated.
But thanks for the advice !
