Netgear Router AP mode setup (Router WNDR3800) (AP Mode Router R6050)
I have been unable to get the R6050 to work in AP Mode with the WNDR3800 My questions 1. Do I have to change any setting in the R3080? Only changed WIFI channels to be different than AP device WiF...
Hi wbramsey,
1. No additional configuration is needed on your main router.
2. It is good that the AP shows as an attached device to the main router.
3. You can set a different SSID on the AP and connect a wireless device to it and check if it goes online. A wired device will also do.
4. A direct connection from the router to the AP is better rather than having a switch in between.
