I did the 30-30-30 reset. Still the same problem. I'll purchase a new router, Netgear, of course.
Many many thanks for all the help.

Under "Internet IP Address" I have it set to "Get dynamically from ISP". For Domain Server (DNS) Address" i have this set to "Use these DNS servers" which is where I try to put the Open DNS primaryt and secondary addresses in.
Thanks. Gus

Try to downgrade the firmware and see if it will save it.
By the way, do not forget to reset the router every after firmware upload.
If not, router can be considered defective.

I downloaded the latest firmware and installed it. I reset the router. Set wireless up as it was. Put the OpenDNS primary and secondary in (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220 and 220). When I click apply it still shows as 195.67.222.222 and 195.220and 220 as it did prior to the new firmware and reset.
Thanks. Gus

I checked ipv4/lookup.com and find the 195.67.222.222 and 195.67.220.220 and find the 195 address is issued in Sweden. I'm in Los Angeles, CA, how can I be connecting to a Swedish IP address"

Who is your ISP? What's the brand and model of your modem?
What consists of your network?
If you enable Live Parental Control, will the DNS change?
If you bypass the router, will you get the same DNS addresses?

Elaine:
ISP: Charter Spectrun
Modem: Motorola SB6120
Parental: When I log into the router I don't see anything on paretal controlls. I went to Netgear and looked at the manual and it doesn't mention anything on parental controls.
Bypass router: If I bypass the DNS addresses are different, primary is 68.119.146.118, secondary 68.119.44.1

On the admin page of the router, select "Use Computer MAC Address" under Internet setup then hit Apply.
If you do that, will you get the same DNS address?
Did you try downgrading?
It seems to show that there's a firmware problem on the unit. If you're telling it to assign those DNS and it doesn't save it then software is not working correctly.

Elaine.
Changed it to "Use computer mac address". Still didn't accept. Restarted, downloaded and installed previous firmware version, restarted and again tried to change front profix to 208, after apply it still sets it to 195.
If the software isn't working correctly, is there a way to correct this? I believe your going to tell me "no". Is buying a new router the only way to solve this?
I really appreciate all the time and help you've given me on this.

Updating the firmware should have corrected this.
Can you try 30-30-30 reset? I guess it would be the last resort in attempt to correct it.
If not, then it's time to buy a new router.
1. With the unit powered on, press and hold the reset button on the back of unit for 30seconds.
2. Without releasing the reset button, unplug the unit and hold reset for another 30 seconds.
3. Power on the unit while STILL pushing the reset button and count for another 30 seconds before letting it go.

You're very welcome. I apologize that weren't able to fix it.
