Do you have it connected to something? (another router/switch, etc)
Are you hardwiring a pc/laptop into it? Or how are you connecting a device to it?
What are all the leds on it doing? (color/blinking/solid)
when you reset, did you push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on?

Plemans thankyou for your quick response, my apologises for not able to respond to your post any earlier. All though I assumed router to be in working condition it has been decided the router is now considered as scrap and no further diagnosis can take place on my behalf.
