Trying to install latest update for Netgear Genie Version2.4.52 and it rejects saying missing file. See attachment. Should I totally uninstall and start all over Thanks for your help.

Looking at your picture, I thought that those three odd characters
were zeros, but, when I tried it myself, I saw that they were boxes,
possibly: ADVAPIPK<box><box><box>.DLL
> [...] get 4 error messages claiming missing .DLL files.
And the other three were, apparently (merely), ".DLL", so probably
also invalid. The installer appears to be corrupt. Just more typical
Netgear quality control, apparently.

I have the same issue too. Any fix yet?

I ended up doing a firmware update and then a factory reset on my router. I was then able to reinstall the Genie software. I got the router configured how I want and can finally remove the Genie software entirely. I recommend not using it and sticking with the web admin console.

Apparently, the defective kit has been replaced by a less defective
one. Same size, different content:
mba$ ls -l N*.exe
-rw-r--r-- 1 sms wheel 46435944 Jan 28 18:47 NETGEARGenie-install.exe
-rw-r--r--@ 1 sms staff 46435944 Feb 3 21:28 NETGEARGenie-install_2.exe
mba$ diff N*.exe
Binary files NETGEARGenie-install.exe and NETGEARGenie-install_2.exe differ

Same here. I gather, however, that some features (Parental Controls)
may require one of the apps.- BlortoFeb 04, 2018Aspirant
Parental features were the reason I was trying to install the Genie. I had set everything up: Schedule as well as blacklists and then reformatted my system last month (as well as renamed it). New IP, new PC name and Genie was blocking everything on my system.
I'm now using OpenDNS and DHCP schedule instead of any of the parental controls directly from the Netgear router.
Disney Circle? Egad no I won't be enabling that anywhere near my network.
The lack of help from Netgear on top of all of this has me no longer recommending their products on any level. Will be upgrading everything to Ubiquiti this spring/summer and selling off the Netgear.
