Netgear wifi extender ex6250

Hi. I recenty got a new router and have a new internet username and password.  How can I change the wifi that the netgear wifi extender is connected to? When i plug in the extender, i do not need the wifi extender network.  I tried using an ethernet cable from the extender to my computer and still nothing.

    I would factory reset it and then reinstall it. Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on. 

    Then just follow the new install guide info.
