We just got Mediacom internet & phone. What router would be best to cover 3000 square feet? Need suggestions

  • There's many factors that influence it.

you put size but is it all on one floor? is it trilevel?

what are the interior walls made of (certain materials block wifi signal)

how many devices do you plan on using?

What are you using it for? streaming/gaming/etc

And sadly, budget. Its pointless for us to recommend a $600 router if the budget is $200.

for single router solutions i usually recommend the R7800

For mesh solutions, usually a triband orbi setup.

Not very tech savvy so not sure what the mesh is

      Interior is drywall
Gaming, streaming, 2 adults & 2 kids with devises
Ranch but full walk out basement so using on 2 levels
Hasn’t decided budget but figured was going to be over $200 but once again need help :)

I'd probably look at the triband mesh systems.

I have (not currently using) both an RBK53 and RBK43 system in a 3200sq ft home.

It worked great and provided great coverage and streaming.

If you watch amazon, the renewed rbk43 systems have been on sale for around that price.

If your looking for a single router solution, i'd look at the R7800.
