New setup guidance
Currently have 2 cable modems in-line (spectrum carrier) (don't get me started with them) and too many drops. Looking to get an orbi rbk853. Question is should i get a ng modem (cm1100) and the orbi, or try to tie in an existing cable modem to the orbi? Thanks ahead of time

What modems do you have from spectrum?
The only issue I've found with spectrum modems is that they lock down the signal stats page so that you can't view them yourself.
Then when there are issues, their defacto response is "the line is fine" even if it isn't.
it can send people down the wrong rabbit hole for a while.
