Newbie

Hello I'm getting ready to cut the cord... what cable / modem net gear device is compatible with ATT internet service,need device with great HD streaming  capability... thx

    ATT internet service. 

    Are you talking LTE service? 

    Fibre service? 

    DSL service? 

     

    ATT sells several different types.

     

    and in terms of routers, there other aspects that are important.

    home size

    what materials your home is made from (certain materials block wifi)

    how many devices you plan to connect

    what speeds you plan on paying for

      I have DSL, 2400 square foot home, need over 10 devices operating, material of home drywall plaster I have att top internet speed

        DSL "top internet speed" could mean many things. 

        It also could require a compatible dsl modem. have you checked with att on whats compatible with your service?

        Its pointless for us to recommend a device if it doesn't work with your service or slows it down. 

        plus if your top speed is only 7mbps, it might be difficult to fully cut the cord. 

        I have relatives on 7mbps dsl and they struggle with HD streaming.
