Night Hawk R6020 Severe Packet Loss and Performance Issues
I'm having difficulty with my router performance.
For one, my download speeds seem to be limited to around 95 Mbps, even though my ISP is supporting up to 200 Mbps. I've had them come and test the modem, and switching to a different router yielded the expected 200 Mbps speed, so the router is the problem.
Also, I've been running packet loss tests, and I can't seem to consistently get my packets returning. This can get as bad as 80% packet loss! Loading webpages and downloads has been painfully slow, and I suspect this to be the main culprit.
I don't really know what to try next. Any ideas?
You're right. The router is the problem. the R6020 is a 10/100mbps router. its not a gigabit router.
If you want to hit speeds >95mbps, then you need to upgrade to a gigabit capable router.
