Nighthawk AC750 solid orange connection after new modem install
Per the title. Got a new CM2500 modem and more my AC750 router has a solid orange connection light. Tried reboot, unplug. Modem works, singing wrong with router apparently.
Anyone else have this issue when switching modems? None of the videos seen to help.

What model NG router is this? AC750 isn't a router model #.
Have you powered OFF both modem and router for 30 seconds then back ON?
Might look into a newer generation router. Any AC750 series is fairly old now days. May not be a good router to use.

Possible that older model doesn't support 1Gb ethernet speeds, so maybe the modem is reporting the slower speed as red. 100Mpbs?
That isn't a model. Maybe you mean the R6020? if so, its way past time to upgrade that router.
Its old, slow, and not even gigabit.
In the mean time, the CM2500 has 2x ethernet ports but only 1 can be used at once for most ISPs. If you have anything else connected to it, shut both the modem and router down. Disconnect all ethernet from the cm2500. Then power it on, give it 3-5 minutes, and then power on the router. give it a couple minutes. Don't connect anything else to the modem.
