So, I got myself a WiFi 6 AX 1800 and the nighthawk app says "router not supported".

It is the WAX204. I ave tried every app netgear has now and everything says router not supported. But the support for netgear says nighthawk should do.

The WAX204 is not a router. It is a Wireless Access Point. It is not a replacement for the R6080.

The WAX does have a router mode. But its default configuration is access point.

Weird. The data sheet and manual call the WAX204 an access point.
No mention of router in the data sheet. I see that manual says "can operate as a
lightweight SOHO router"Maybe I should ask for one to try out.
I still wouldn't use one as a replacement for the R6080.
