  • what firmware version are you on?

What version are you trying to install?

Are you manually installing or automatically?

    What error are you getting?

details are key as we can't help with minimal info

You shouldn't get a firmware check error if you're manually installing.

did you extract the package after downloading it?

  • Trying to update from the app. I get a Firmware check error message. I have tried several times. Currently have firmware version V.0.4.106
Not sure what to do next. Help??

What Netgear device do you own?

      Which app is this? iOS?Android?

      What gives you this error?

How do I manually upgrade firmware to my NETGEAR router? | Answer | NETGEAR Support

You have joined in on an existing conversation that may or may not have anything to do with your problems.

There is also a good chance that the official support team is busily monitoring new conversations and may miss your addition to this one.

If you do want help with your problem, check previous stuff that may be related then start your own discussion.

If you do decide to ask a question, you should provide more details and your own version of the information that the forum suggests that you provide. For example, as this is a router, it helps to know what modem you are using and the various things that you have tried to fix the problem.

KMACKsully I'd recommend starting your own thread instead of jumping on someone else's.

Then we can help you without getting your info confused with the OP's.
