It needs to be compatible with your isp. Without knowing your isp you don't know if its fibre, dls, cable, etc.
those are key when picking a modem.
Contact the isp and they'll be able to tell you what's compatible or direct you to a list.
It might also be worth checking as some ISP's will give you a free modem versus some charge for a modem.
