Nighthawk wants to join Wi-Fi Network NETGEAR_EXT

HI all,

 

I'm having real trouble setting up my Nighthawk Extender, i'm trying to use the Netgear app to do so.  I keep getting the above error message (subject line) but I'm unable to locate this wifi network in my mobile device wifi list.

 

HELP?!

    If its been setup before or if you started setup using wps, it might not have the default login. 

    Try starting fresh. push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on. 

    that'll get you back to the defaults. 

     

    You could also hardwire a pc/laptop into it for setup. that tends to go the fastest.
