No internet connection on wndr3700v3

My wndr3700v3 will not connect to the internet when plugged in directly to the modem. It does broadcast a wireless signal, but it does not detect an internet connection. I plugged it in to a lan port on a different router connected to the same modem and there was internet connectivity through the wireless signal of the wndr3700v3.

Has this happened to anyone else, or are there any suggestions on what to do? I have hit the factory reset button at least twice, no help there. I also tried turning everything off and back on again, no change there.
