Non-Spectrum Modem/Router

Spectrum is always great at blaming 3rd party equipment when you do have issues. so thats something to be aware of.
What actual gateway from them do you have?
Does it impact your wired speeds? or just wireless?
Reason I ask is if its a line issue, getting a new modem isn't going to fix it. And spectrum will blame the 3rd party device and won't fix it.
I'd recommend getting your wired speeds up to spec without issues and then replace the spectrum device.
