I'd also check into a pci based adapter. You don't put what mini-tower you have but in my experience, the PCI based cards (even if using an pci adapter) tend to be more stable/faster than the usb variety. And they're pretty reasonably priced as well. so it might be worth checking to see if you have an available slot for your minitower.

I have looked into adding an M.2 socket for wifi card. Modern motherboards have a slot for those.
These cards can also do Bluetooth as well as wifi 6.
Netgear got out of the "card" market some time ago. So you'll have to look elsewhere.
