Orbi Sr60

Not sure where to turn for this question but Cox has said I needed to upgrade for a docsis 3.0 to 3.1 modem. I purchased a modem but am I able to plug it straight in and have it work with my existing Orbi set up without redoing everything? Any help would be appreciated
