Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Read the whole of this conversation and you will see that chinashaw is using the ISP modem/router to try out things in attempts to fix a different issue.
The main modem is this unnamed, so far, Netgear VDSL modem. (plemans and I asked about that earlier on.)
So the problem is not down to double NAT. Unless, that is, we are talking about the DM200, the last DSL modem that Netgear released.) The default mode for that does have limited router features and has to be put into modem only mode.
But that is something to go into when we know which Netgear modem chinashaw uses.
In the meantime, talk of NAT solutions is a red herring.

Hi All,
So sorry but about 4 days ago, everything went click and all worked. I then caught up with work and also thought about delaying a reply until a week had gone by with it working. Guess what, today it all went pink ring again and will not reset. I have once again confirmed (using old BT router) that there is the web.,
Unfortunately I do have the DM200 and am sorry for taking so long to reply.Reading the comments above, I have not configured it to be a modem only as I bought it specifically to be a modem only and it worked straight out of the box for well over 18 months-2 years before this pink ring of death fun kicked in.
As a further update. I have been to NETGEAR to find out how to set it as a modem only but with the orbi down, I cannot find it? Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Nicholas

We have all done that. For some strange reason, out of the box the DM200 comes in modem/router mode. It may have minimal router features, but they are enough to mess up a network in the ways that you encounter.
Unfortunately I do have the DM200 and am sorry for taking so long to reply.Nothing wrong with that. Good choice in comparison with whatever BT provides.
I have been to NETGEAR to find out how to set it as a modem only but with the orbi down, I cannot find it? Any thoughts? It is relatively straightforward to put it into modem only mode. If you don't have a copy lying around, get the Quick Start guide from the support site.

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look on page two.You do not need an Internet connection to change the mode. Just connect a PC to the DM200. Make the change and the, the important bit, reconnect the Orbi and follow the required start up regime.
- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.
I'd check for any new firmware while I have the DM200 out of the network.
