Please help XWN5001, pulling hair out!
Hi Guys, I'm seriously having a hard time right now with this WiFi extender. Here's what's going on.
I plugged the unit into the router with via the ethernet cable provided, pushed the wps button in the front of my router, pressed the pair button on both of them. They connected all good and well. Upstairs where I have the extender in my bedroom I connect to the Internet via the netgear extender and my phone connects fine, in fact I'm using it now to browse and post this !
The problem is it won't connect to my console or firestick? Sayinf there is no Internet and there is no security on the extender. Should the extender auto copy the information from the network and be called the same? Because mine hasn't copied the settings over. It's just called Netgear_exe.
And my wireless 2g and 5g are called alimac2g and alimac5g. Can anyone shed some light in this before I fill my pockets with rocks and jump in the rever irwell. Thanks
