Port Fowarding - Connection Refused

Hello, I'm trying to create a Minecraft server for my friends on my computer, I opened port 25565 on my modem, I can join into my own server, but unlike me, my friends can not join!

Model: WNDR3700v4

  • > [...] I opened port 25565 on my modem, [...]

How, exactly?  What does "opened port X" mean to you?  "my modem"?  A
WNDR3700v4 is a router, not a modem.  What is your "my modem"?

Assuming that you're talking about port forwarding, the usual
    problems with this stuff are:

       1. Wrong external IP address (different from the port-forwarding
router's WAN/Internet IP address).  (An intermediate NAT router, for
    example, could cause this.)

       2. Bad port-forwarding rule (wrong port(s), wrong target address --
    including a wandering target).

       3. Server not listening on the port-forwarding target system.

       4. External influences: ISP blocking, other firewalls, ...
