On my vodafone router the portforwarding doesnt work, port mapping rule is applied on the router, inbound and outbound allowed on port rules applied on home pc.
Called thier '''''TECHNICAL SUPPORT''''' helpline, and they didnt know what portforwarding was and I had to explain everything, the person's solution was to set up a wifi split???? and that he'd call me back in 7 days after monitoring my use, which seemed like an excuse to end the call after 1 hour of him not knowing anything???
The netgear one doesnt get used as a wifi, could I possibly buy a modem, and have it run into the vodafone router for general use, and another line from the modem to the netgear router for my pc / portforwarding use?
I barely understood your reply haha

What, exactly, is your (unspecified) "my vodafone router"?
How, exactly, did you configure port forwarding on it?
"doesn[']t work" is not a useful problem description. It does not
say what you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As
usual, showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results
(error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

I don't know what that means.

You want advice from _me_ about your (unspecified) "my vodafone
router"? Perhaps, if I knew anything about it, then I might be able to
suggest something.

Generally, from an actual modem, you can connect one device,
typically a router. So, no, you couldn't run "another line from the
modem to" anything.

I don't understand at all how you expect to get any useful advice
about your (unspecified) "my vodafone router".
