Possible to set USB storage quirks?
I'm interested in using the R6400v2's "ReadyShare" facility to attach a hard drive that uses an ASMedia ASM1153 chipset for SATA->USB. Unfortunately, this chipset doesn't work reliably on USB 3.0...
You can't set quirks on the router.
I also recommend you go for a true NAS system instead of trying to make the flaky router work with some random USB drive.
Use the right tool for the right job. Let the router do what it does best... routing and switching. Anything beyond that is an add-on and may or may not work reliably.
