Pushing firmware manually Netgear N900
My wireless router N900 does not see internet. Previously updating firmware manually would help.
I followed step in the following link to update: push firmware manually,
but I cannot complete the following reset steps:
- Hold down the reset button on the back of router with a paper clip.
- Power ON the router while holding down the reset button.
- Watch the Power LED. It starts with orange color, and then will start flashing orange.
- Power LED will then turn to flashing green. Count at least 10 flashing green LED and release the reset button.
- Click Upgrade button on the tftp2 utility to do firmware upgrade.
When I power on while holding reset button, I am getting solid green from Power LED. No flashing at all.
If I reset without pressing power button, I do get flashing.
Anyway, if I proceed with update, it fails.
I still able to reach www.routerlogin.net and see all the settings.
Anybody experienced the same? Is time for me to trash it or it still can be saved?

Looks like your unit is faulty.
Normally, TFTP is the resolution to this kind of problem but since it won't help anymore then I guess it's time to get a new one.
