A lost Internet connection is not a cue to reset a router. A better option is work work out why the connection failed and then to fix that.
When I reset the router, the wifi reverts back to the Netgear wifi name so then I have to change it to my wifi name.
That's what a reset is supposed to do. It clears out any settings that might be causing problems.
This is why a reset should be a last resort, after you have tried the other possible solutions to problems.

That's what you told it to do. (See above.) You can reduce the hassle by saving your settings before you reset the thing.

The problem there is that restoring settings can bring back the issue that caused you to reset in the first place.
Which is why a better strateg7y is to try to work out what the problem is and to sort that out.
