Are you using ipv6?
If not, enable it.
If so, make sure to change the IPv6 dns server as well.
what speeds do you pay for? The R6050 is a pretty anemic 10/100mbps router. its not gigabit capable and even its wifi is pretty slow. Depending on what you pay for, an upgrade might make a significant difference.

plemans michaelkenward Thanks!
Apparently, the R6050 doesn't have the option to switch to IPV6 (I looked & researched it)
Additionally, my internet speed is 100/10mbps.
Any other suggestions?

Additionally, my internet speed is 100/10mbps.That is on the edge of your router's capability. Take off the usual traffic processing overheads and your router is a bit slower than your Internet speed.
Take in the possibility that your ISP delivers a bit more than 100 Mbps, many do, and you may lose abut 10 per cent.
You can test that by running a speedtest out of the modem.
Then there is the local traffic on your own network. You could increase the speed there siginficantly.
My advice would be to buy a new router, one that also meets your other needs.
