R6100 Wireless Issues
Just bought a new R6100 router. With my Mac hooked up to the router the internet works just fine. However, the wireless is not working at all. I'm getting a DHCP error. Any thoughts?

Problem solved. The problem had to do with the router being I initialized in AP or access point mode. Unfortunately this was the NETGEAR recommended setting. Once this feature was disabled things worked normally.

Sep 22, 2016Did you setup wireless?
What settings did you use?
Is your wifi card set to DHCP?

Yes. I have set up wireless. My computer connects to my neighbors network with no issues. My kindle connects to my network without problem. My MacBook will not connect to my wireless network. Works with the cable connected.
IPv4 is set to "using DHCP" and IPv6 is set to automatically.
Wi-Fi security is set to WPA2-PSK. Password is correct.
Despite my Mac not connecting wirelessly, the NETGEAR Genie says I'm connected.

Did you have another DHCP server running when installing router ....if router detects another dhcp server it switches to AP mode.
