R6120 Adin reset

I have a Netgear R6120 WIFI Router that will not factory reset. I have tried several times to get it to forget the Admin password and security questions. for some reason this router will not forget. It even has been unpluged for over a year. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Did you hold the Reset button at back for at least 10 seconds then release?

    If you can get into a web browser and the graphical user interface (GUI), you can do an internal reset.

    Follow the links to get to the "backup settings" page. The reset "button" is there.

     

    Before you do it, you might like to use the backup feature, just in case you change your mind.

    I had the same issue with this router. The admin password persists on factory reset. Accessed UART and found admin password to be, sn33k3rs. Not sure if that is some default somewhere or if it was from a previous user but it is not a password that I have ever used.
