Yes it does the same on different devices and browers
Something might have gotten corrupt in it.
I'd try reinstalling the firmware, then do a factory reset on it. That way if can overwrite the firmware and the factory reset can clear out any settings that might be causing it.
Yea that could do something. I'm just worried that doing the reset again would put me in the loop where it asks for an account and says it's already registered again. I just somehow got it to go through, and I wonder if there would be downsides to leaving it in this seemingly somewhat corrupted state for now.
