R6200 v2 wireless connection capacity
Greetings Netgear heads. I have approximately 17 wireless devices on my network. Lately, I'm noticing that my Alexa device in my garage has perpetual connectivity issues, in particular after having solar panels installed. Now, I don't really think there's a link there since the inverter in my garage for my panels is hard-wired to the gateway that lives next to my modem, etc. in my house. I'm wondering if it's time to upgrade or replace the R6200, add a wireless extender, or maybe replace the router and go with a mesh configuration. Any input/ideas would be great. I'm also wondering what the wireless device limit is for this router.
For what it's worth, the application is a single-story house of 1777 sq. ft. with one wireless device in the garage.

The R6200, originally from 2012, was never a particularly powerful router.
How many clients can you connect wirelessly to a NETGEAR router? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
You don't seem to be overloading it, but it is several wifi generations behind the bleeding edge.
Adding a wifi extender will stretch the range but the capacity is down to the router to handle the traffic.
Try plugging your needs into the filters on the product pages:
