R6220 AC1200 ASUS N550JV problem
Hello,
I have this laptop https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/N550JV/specifications/ with Windows 10 and it supports these networking options:
Integrated 802.11 b/g/n or 802.11 a/g/n (WiDi)
And I have bought a router R6220 AC1200 which is dual band: 2.4/5 GHz. My laptop running with Atheros AR9485WB-EG chipset supporting "n" WiFi.
Problem: On my laptop I see only 2.4 GHz channel. There is no 5 GHz. I have tried:
- Update drivers / firmware
- Manually change channels
- Adjust antenas
Nothing helps. On my HTC M8S 5 GHz channel is displayed without any problem and I can connect.
Can anyone help me to resolve this frustrating issue with my laptop and router?
Hi @Romazz,
The adapter on the laptop is 2.4GHz only as indicated on some sites and forum posts as well. You may refer to the links below or you may contact the manufacturer for confirmation.
