- Dec 28, 2017I spoke to level 2 tech support. We attempted to reset the router as you had said. According to the tech and the responses the router gave us, there is something wrong with the hardware in the router. I will be exchanging it.

Hi Efelch98908,
If the printer is connecting via wireless, then you do not need the NETGEAR Genie software/app. Just make sure that the printer drivers are properly installed on the computer you want to print from. Also, please make sure that the printer is among the attached devices on the router. You can do that by accessing the router UI via a browser then going to Advanced > Administration > Attached Devices.

The things you indicate are correct. The other issue is the devices connected to the 2G wireless network cannot communicate with the devices on the 5G wireless network.

Both wireless networks used are normal, not guest, networks?- Efelch98908Dec 27, 2017AspirantCorrect. Discovered something else. I had my laptop connected to a wired LAN port to work with tech support. Attempted to print. Nothing happened and got a message stating "Printer offline". Print happened when I disconnected from the LAN port and reconnected on the 2GHz wireless network, same as the printer.
