R6230 connection but no internet
I’ve used this router for over a year with no problems. The 2.4 vanished but 5G was still good. I reset the router. All networks showed back up but now they all connect but no internet. I don’t see a ...
- Tech is here and apparently when I reset the router the Wi-Fi needed to be “released”. He said you have to login through the Wi-Fi but that was definitely above my understanding, surprise. Thank you for your help and patience with my lack of hardware and network knowledge
Suggestions? find out what its connected to that supplying internet to it.
That'll help us to help you as the R6230 doesn't have its own modem.
I’m not sure what you mean. I’m not well versed on this subject. I can get the properties of the connection from Wi-Fi settings on my laptop
- The original home owner had a crazy setup tying alarm, internet and phone through a panel. I’ll attach a picture
- Or maybe not. I can’t post the picture format from my phone. Internet comes into the router from a junction box. 2 more blue phone cables into LAN 2 and 3. An Ethernet cable in LAN 4
- Ok. The Ethernet connects to a box outside on the side of the house
