r6230 not getting full speed
i bought a used r6230 because it is supposed to be gigabit speed so i thought it would improve my wifi speed but it's the same as my r6020 and only gives around 94 mbps down and 10 up when i pay for ...

Well with the specs for this model router at:
WiFi transmitters/receivers (Tx/Rx)
- 2x2 (2.4GHz) + 2x2 (5GHz)
• AC1200 WiFi - 300(2.4Ghz)+900Mbps(5Ghz) < These are connection rate speeds between the router and a connected wifi device.
With this kind of spec, maybe hard to see high download speeds on wifi.
Try a factory reset and setup from scratch. Don't enable Access Controls, Circle, Traffic meter or QoS.
Try with and with out Smart Connect enabled and test with a 5Ghz supporting device.
Not sure if Beamforming or MIMO is supported on this model router. I presume it may not be since being only a 2x2 supporting router.

i solved it with a different ethernet cable that gave me gigabit speeds
