What makes you think that you can connect 2 routers together via wps? WPS is designed to connect a router and a wireless device like phone/tablet/computer. Not another router.
Running 2 routers isn't ever recommended as you'll run into nat issues.

One needs to be the primary router and the other in AP mode or bridge mode.
If you search for connecting a hotspot to a router, you'll find many answers on how to do it. None of which use wps.
Thank you. I now have a much better understanding of WPS.
After reseting the R6300 to factory default, establishing a bridge was easy with the Netgear instructions...as long as one is patient.,,really patient!
Of note is that after a bridge is established, the Netgear router being used as a bridge disappears from the list of possible WiFi's (although it does appear as a device connected to the primary router).

in bridge mode, the router doesn't retransmit the wifi.
If you're able to hardwire the R6300v2 to the ZTE you can put it in AP mode and it'll act as its own access point.
But in bridge mode, thats exactly what it is. A wireless bridge between the zte and the r6300 so you can use the ethernet ports.
