Hi michaelkenward NamelessPerson ,
It requires Internet Connection to properly work with "NETGEAR USB Control Centre", I have used a repeater and connected it to my NETGEAR and it worked well and still do!

Canon printers rarely cause serious problems, but their network utility leaves a lot to be desired.
You have installed the printer drivers on all the machines you plan to use through the router?
You say "the printer doesn't show up in the Netgear USB Control Centre", does that mean that the printer does not work? Those Netgear utilities aren't always essential to get the printer to work.

Yes I have installed the printer drivers since I'm planning to test this currently on a single PC.
In this case I'm having a lying around NETGEAR R6300V2 router whereas I haven't connected it to my Main Gateway which means it is just a router with WiFi signals with no network(internet) connectivity.
Do you think network connectivity is essential? If so let me know.
Yes, you're right the printer doesn't show in the control centre, when I connect the printer to the router still the page remains blank even when I power cycled the printer + the router.

ReadySHARE is a network tool.
It is hard to see how network devices can see a printer that is nto connected to the network.
From what I read, your printer doesn't do wifi, so it relies on an Ethernet link to get it to talk to your router.
Is the R6300V2 connected to tour router in Bridge Mode?
Next time you have a problem, if you don't want to waste your time answering questions, try to provide essential details as early as possible

I haven't used a printer with my router before but I'll throw this in here just in-case: try changing the network profile of your WiFi connection in Windows 10 to "Private" if it isn't already. That means you're on a safe network and can see other devices connected as well making your device known to others. To do that you can right click the network icon in the taskbar (lower right) -> Open Network & Internet Settings -> Properties.
I'm guessing you connected the printer using a USB printer cable, not ethernet. No internet connectivity shouldn't matter so long as you're connected to the router on your PC.

Yes, I have connected the printer to my NETGEAR using a USB cable and the NETGEAR is not connected to my Main gateway(main router) by any mean , which means that it's neither connected to the main gateway via ethernet nor in bridge mode.
According to you internet connectivity for my NETGEAR isn't necessary as long as I can connect my NETGEAR to the PC.
I have set the NETGEAR network in my PC to Private I guess, Let me double-check and come back to you pls!
