Boy do I feel stupid. Problem solved. Just noticed someone else's post that had a similar problem and saw how there is a button that can turn off (and on) the WiFi. Had tried this button, but didn't know it had to be held in for a few seconds. Hope someone else gets help from this post and my stupidity. Thanks.
