R6400-100NAS with Roku3
Currently have a Roku3 streaming device and an ARRIS 6432 gateway supplied by our ISP. After multiple attempts by the ISP's technicians, we cannot get the Roku3 to get access to the internet. ISP says it's the fault of the Roku's support of DNS. We had an ancient Linsys WP310WRT router that worked fine until it failed. Am looking to replace the ARRIS gateway with a cable modem from the ISP and a Netgear R6400-100NAS router (or maybe the R7000-100NAS). I need to know if either of these routers will play nice with the Roku3 device and if any special configuration options are required to do so. Thank you. Jim
Just finished swapping out the IPS supplied ARRIS 6432 modem/router gateway for their ARRIS stand alone cable modem. Insatlled the Netgear R6400 router and after setup, everything works great. All WiFi devices in the house work, including the Roku3. Setup of the router was really simple and the genie app works well.

Hi jamis,
Both of the router models that you are considering should work with your Roku 3. You may have to confirm with Roku about the DNS support but as far as I know it should be able to utilize the DNS of whichever network it is connected to just like any other wired or wireless device.
