I am trying to connect a My Book 6TB hard drive to the 3.0 USB port. Model number; WDBBB0060HBK-NESN The hard drive is not showing up in the Ready Share panel. Is this a non supported hard drive or...

I pugged in a very old WD My Book and it came up no problem!

So what does that tell me?

That maybe your drive is not compatible.

 

After all, your 2015 vintage R6400 is a  bit long in the tooth.

    That is a concern I had. I can't find any information on compatibility.
